A home from home for your fluffy family member
All our kennels are heated. All bedding and food is provided.
We have reduced the number of our kennels from 90 to 70 in order to provide better accommodation for our boarders and to install some larger kennels suitable for large breeds. There are only a small number of these really big kennels so do book early to avoid disappointment.
We understand you and your doggy needs.
As dog owners ourselves we understand what it’s like to leave your dog while you go on holiday or is you can’t look after them for any reason. That’s why we will look after your pet as though they are our own, give them cuddles to reduce anxiety and make sure they have plenty of fresh air and exercise throughout the day. If you live within a 30-mile radius, we’ll even travel to collect your dog and drop them off again for you!
Round the clock care
Leconfield boarding kennels and cattery is more than just a place for animals to get looked after: it’s also our home and there is always someone on site who can attend to the needs of your beloved pet.
Unique facility
With kennels of varying sizes, we can look after all breeds of dog, big and small and can home dog families together to keep them even happier while their humans are away.
We give cuddles, we play, and we can even do some training with your dog.
Our new pet-friendly artificial grass exercise area gives your pup plenty of space to run and fetch and play and it’s easy to clean too!
We’re creating a sand play area for our boarders as we know lots of dogs like to run around on the beach, and snuffle in the sand, so while we might not be able to take our dog clients to the beach, we can bring a touch of the beach to them! We can’t replicate the sea though, sorry!
We’ve also built an agility area where agility-loving dogs can run off even more of their energy.
Experienced team
We’ve all been loving and caring for animals for year. We’ve qualifications in Animal Care and Maintenance, Pet first Aid and Pet Anxiety which, combined with our love of all animals makes us the perfect team to look after your pet when you can’t.
Specialist care
At Leconfield Kennels and Cattery, we offer bespoke animal care. We’re trained to look after dogs with medical needs and can give all medications, including injections, if necessary. So, just because your dog needs to take meds, this shouldn’t stop you going on holiday or attending that family gathering or meeting you need to go to. We have close links with our local vets and can provide urgent care in an emergency.
Stress free boarding
Stress free for your dog and for you! There’s always a friendly face to greet you and you can feel reassured that we will look after your furry loved one and give them extra cuddles if they need it. And, if you want us to, we can keep you updated on how they are by sending you photos of your pet while you’re away. Don’t worry though, we won’t bombard you!
Walkieeeees
All dogs need exercise; we recognise the amount and type of exercise depends on the breed and age of the dog. Every dog will be exercised for at least an hour a day (unless you request less exercise due to your pet’s medical condition) and they will get sensory play in the grass and sand areas and a chance to play around in the agility area. We’re also planning to turn half an acre of grass area into a secure doggy running field to give our furry friends even more space to zoom around in – watch this space!

Our doggy day care is becoming really popular as owners see their pups happy and relaxed when they come to pick them up. Our day boarders really do become part of our family and we get to know each dog’s personality and what they like and don’t like. We have lots of stories to tell, and so do they!
Daytime care while
you work
We understand circumstances can change. This is where doggy day care can help. You know your dog is being looked after and will have company through the day, as well as exercise, so when you pick them up all you need to do is supply more cuddles! If by any chance you can’t pick up your pooch let us know and they can have a sleepover.*
Helping you when you can’t take your pooch
Sometimes we have to go places where our dogs can’t come along. We think dogs should be able to go everywhere humans go but that’s not how everyone sees it! So, if you do need to be somewhere where you can’t take your pooch, drop them off with us knowing they’ll be well looked after until you can get back to pick them up.
Doggy-sitting for just a few hours or a day
If you don’t need your dog to be looked after all day, just leave them with us for the hours that suit you – we’re flexible!
